John Denver was a prolific American singer, film star and humanitarian who recorded some 300 songs, with many hits among them. A new tribute album, The Music Is You: A Tribute to John Denver, collects some of his all time favorites, including Today’s Top Tune “Wooden Indian,” beautifully rendered by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
